About Victoria Holden
Victoria looks after general dental patients at The Briars providing preventative care as well as more complex cosmetic and implant dental treatment. She has an interest in dental sleep medicine and provides devices the the management of snoring and mild sleep apnoea. She is very experienced in the use of botulimun toxin and hyaluronic acid dermal fillers for the treatment both for facial lines and wrinkles, and for augmentation and skin rejuvenation. She is also able to provide treatment for excessive sweating, medical grade chemical peels (glycolic and Jessner) and mesotherapy treatments including PRP facials. Victoria grew up in Northumberland and obtained her dental degree from Sheffield Dental School, qualifying in 1999. After qualifying she underwent a training program consisting of modules in orthodontics, sedation, oral surgery and prosthodontics . She then attained post-graduate certificates in restorative dentistry, cosmetic dentistry and dental implantology. She obtained the MFGDP(UK) qualification from the Royal College of Surgeons before joining The Briars in March 2007. Since then she has been awarded the Diploma in Implant Dentistry (and Advanced Certificate of Grafting) and the Fellowship of the Faculty of General Dental Practitioners qualifications from the Royal College of Surgeons of England, and she is currently studying for an LLM Masters degree in Medical Law. Her dental professional memberships include BAAD, the BDA the FGDP, the ADI,the BSDM, and she is involved with the Newbury Dental Study Group. Safety and patient protection are Victoria’s primary concerns and as such she has completed various assessment to become registered with voluntary organisations for the provision of safe non-surgical cosmetic treatments. On a personal level Victoria lives in Kintbury with Paul and their two boys and enjoys cooking, running with her dog and reading. She is a qualified life coach and acts as an expert witness in dental negligence cases.
