About Stefan Cloete

Since qualification in 1996 from the University of Pretoria South Africa, Dr Cloete expanded his clinical experience by completing a 4 year Postgraduate course (MClinDent) in Prosthodontics at the University of London. He also completed training in Invisalign orthodontic treatment and achieved the status of a “Gold provider” in 2009. Dr Cloete completed training in Dental Implants and qualified as a “Clinical Coach” in 2008 through the Astra Tech dental Implant coaching initiative. Dr Cloete has extensive experience in implant placement, restoration and bone grafting procedures and accepts referrals from dentists in the area. Dr Cloete has a particular interest in smile rejuvenation treatment and has extensive experience in treating worn dentitions. He has a knack to make nervous patients feel at ease during their visit and he feels fortunate to be in a profession where he can express his creative side and at the same time bring joy to patients who never thought they could have a dazzling smile! Dr Cloete has dentistry flowing through his veins in the true sense of the word, as his grandfather, father, father-in-law and brother are all dentists. He is very proud of the fact that he achieved distinctions in both his degrees, and was awarded the “Best Student” trophy along with 17 gold medals for clinical and academic achievements during his studies. He was also awarded the prize for exceptional academic and clinical achievements during his training from the Chancellor and Dean of the University of Pretoria. Stefan is married to Jeanne, who is the hygienist at the practice, and has two boys Jacques and Francois, and still finds time to enjoy tennis, golf, photography and playing the guitar!
