About Somit Prasad
Somit qualified from Guy's Dental Hospital in London.
After qualification, Somit spent a year working at Guy's Hospital and Kings College Hospital in London, working as a paediatric dentist. As a result Somit has significant experience in treating children and nervous patients and works to promote oral health. Somit's philosophy is certainly that prevention is better than cure!
Somit has also worked within the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery department at the Royal London Hospital, dealing with major trauma and complex surgery. Somit utilises this experience, together with his qualification in intravenous sedation, to offer a wide range of treatments to patients at the clinic.
Somit is trained and fully qualified to place and restore dental implants. He has completed a highly regarded Surgical Implantology course at the Tatum Institute. He has been taught directly by Professor Hilt Tatum, who has pioneered dental implants over the last forty years.
Somit is a member of the Royal College of Surgeons of England having gained his Membership to the Faculty of Dental Surgeons (MFDS) in 2005.
Somit performs a variety of cosmetic procedures including tooth whitening. In addition he is a qualified Invisalign practitioner and is therefore able to advise, treat and fit "invisible braces".
In his spare time, Somit is a keen musician playing the saxophone and piano, with a keen interest in jazz. He can often be heard singing to patients during treatments......much to their amusement!
