About Simon Thackeray

Simon has a passion for helping his patients to achieve the healthiest outcome for their teeth that they can. By combining listening to your individual requirements for your current and future dental care, and the experience we have in the practice to provide a solution unique to you, we will work together to achieve your goals. Simon is committed to making sure your care at Thackeray Dental Care is the best you have experienced in dentistry, and will do all he can to ensure this happens. Simon is the principal dentist here at Thackeray Dental Care. He has owned the practice since 1997, prior to this having worked in practices in Sheffield, Chesterfield and Doncaster. Simon previously worked in the Orthodontic department of Chesterfield Royal Hospital, and was a Clinical Tutor at the Dental School in Sheffield. He spent three years studying advanced restorative and cosmetic dentistry with the renowned Paul Tipton in Manchester. Simon is heavily involved with the British Dental Association, sitting as a member of its Representative Body, and is also a Branch President for South Yorkshire. In his spare time, as well as spending it with his wife Claire and son Noah, and labradors Floyd, Fern, and Holly, he is also a musician, having played the drums for many years.
