About Shams Moopen

Dr Moopen did his Bachelor of Dental Surgery in 1981. Since then he had gained many additional qualifications. He has master’s degrees in Orthodontics (MSc Orth, Lond) & Paediatric Dentistry (MDS Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education & Research Changigath, India) Has additional qualifications include BDSRCS (Edin). He is on the Specialist List of Orthodontics, General Dental Council. He was former professor & head of Dept. of child Dental Health in Mangalore University, India. He is a member of British Dental Association, British Orthodontic Association, European Orthodontic Society, American Association of Orthodontists and Federation of Orthodontics. He has undertaken many courses in lingual appliances and is familiar with all the different types of appliances such as Begg, Straight Wire, Tip-Edge, Self-Ligating, Lingual and the use of bone anchorage.
