About Robert Storrar

Rob started dentistry in a Harley Street Laboratory in 1977. He took a 4 year Dental Technology Course at South London College and qualified in 1982. Rob stayed with the same laboratory for 11 years training under owner Michael Kerwick who was a big influence in Robs early career whose principles and philosophy of form and function Rob still follows today. Since starting his own laboratory Amdecc in 1988 Robs key area of expertise has been in crown and bridge/occlusion but choosing to specialise in Cosmetic Dentistry since 2001, Robs initial cosmetic training was at Oral Design in New York under the guidance of Jason Kim and Peter Kouvaris whose skills and friendship to Rob still values. After many years in rented offices Rob and Anne purchased the freehold of a new 2 story building which they have transformed into a state of the art dental laboratory which provides award winning smiles for patients throughout the UK and Europe. Rob has traveled many times to the USA and Europe studying exclusively with the opinion leaders in the principles of advanced reconstruction and aesthetics. Rob has been working with dedicated dentists in the UK on many hands on training programmes primarily The Perfect Smile Academy with Dr's Doshi and Parmar where his perspective and knowledge have been an invaluable asset. Rob also completed the Hornbrook Full Mouth Synergy Course in San Diego in the summer of 2007 and has been invited to take part in their UK courses this year. Amdecc Laboratory was responsible for the majority of the smiles on the first 3 series of Extreme Make-over UK . Amdecc won the Smile Make-over of the year 2006 surpassing many other UK and USA laboratories and being placed runner up the following year. Rob is a member of the AACD, BACD and EAED
