Oaktree Dental Practice - Nikhil Shah
About Nikhil Shah
I qualified from the University of Manchester in June 2010. I completed my training year in Broxbourne, Hertfordshire. Here I developed a passion for cosmetic dentistry and found it the most rewarding aspect of dentistry. During this year I started a 2 year general dentistry diploma, gaining the MJDF qualification from the Royal College of Surgeons in 2012.
Developing such a deep undestanding of dental and oral health, I decided to explore new approaches to cosmetic dentistry which involve little or no need to remove/damage healthy tooth tissue. This lead me to undergo training in several methods of teeth straightening (orthodontics) and I now use orthodontics as the corner-stone of my smile designs, often allowing me to avoid more damaging procedures like veneers and crowns.
I then moved to a high-street practice in Luton providing a mixture of NHS and private dentistry. I provided all types of treatment and treated thousands of children especially during their busy holiday periods. During this period, I continued my education and training in cosmetic and restorative dentistry by enrolling in a 1-year part-time course in aesthetic and restorative dentistry at the London Dental Education Centre's world-class training facilities.
I have since completed numerous cosmetic cases and smile designs. To view some of my cosmetic work please visit my Facebook page.
Outside of work I spend most of my time keeping fit, training 7-days a week. I also spend a lot of weekends following my favourite football team - Arsenal!
