About Mark Pearce

I qualified from Manchester University in 1979 and spent the first five years of my career in the school dental service first in Derby where I gained my Masters and then as a Senior Dental Officer in Crewe. After working as the dentist for the Island of St Helena in the South Atlantic for three and a half years I returned to the UK in 1992 to run my own General Dental Practice in East Lancashire. I sold the Practice in 2009 though I still continue to work their part time. In recent years I have been involved in the training of junior dentists and dental therapists. I also have an interest in research within dentistry. In my spare time I am a keen cyclist and dinghy sailor.
