About Laura Parkinson-Brown

Laura has worked for Wash Common Dental practice for 20 years. She qualified as a Dental Hygienist from the University of Wales Dental School in Cardiff and as a Dental Therapist from the School for Dental Therapists in London. She holds the Diploma in Dental Health Education awarded by the Royal Society of Health and the Certificate in Health Education from Southampton Institute (now Southampton Solent University). Upon qualifying as a Dental Therapist she worked for thirteen years in the Community Dental Service and since then has worked in both NHS and private general dental practice as a Dental Hygienist. Her interest in travel lead her to working overseas for two years, where she was a member of an American-run multi-cultural dental team, based in a large military hospital in Saudi Arabia. She regularly attends seminars and clinical training courses to update and improve her knowledge
