About Kirit Johal

My name is Dr Kirit Johal and I am a partner at Claremont Dental Practice, having qualified from Guy’s Hospital, London, in 2002. There, I trained under some of the leading consultants in the UK and Europe who are recognised globally throughout the profession. I have many interests in dentistry, including tooth whitening, crowns and bridges and dental veneers. Also, I am keen to promote ‘Amalgam-Free Dentistry’, aiming to use alternative materials to Mercury-containing amalgam, for example white filling composite. My ethos is on modern state-of-the-art techniques, offering a high quality, caring and gentle service to all patients at the practice. I am also a certified Invisalign provider, an innovative way to straighten teeth without the use of metal braces and wires, allowing our patients to have near invisible orthodontic treatment. Over the years I have been keen to keep my knowledge as up to date as possible, regularly attending dental conferences, both nationally and internationally. I have been fortunate enough to attend conferences in the US, Canada and Egypt, as well as those held by the British Dental association in the UK. I also try to go back to Guy’s Hospital whenever I can in order to keep in touch with the university consultants and my former colleagues. I am a member of the British Society For Restorative Dentistry and also the British Dental Association, both of which allow me to keep in touch with new developments within the profession and allow me to treat my patients with up-to-the-minute techniques and materials. When I am not concentrating on teeth, I enjoy spending my time keeping active by playing five-a-side football once a week and I am an avid supporter of Liverpool football club.
