About John Fleming

I graduated from Manchester University in 1997 and I joined Hob Hey Dental Centre in 1998 as an associate. I became a joint principal in 2002 and sole principal in 2013. Having been at the practice for such a long time I have got to know my patients very well and it is a pleasure to treat them. I feel it is vital that patients are educated correctly how to care for their teeth and we provide up to date evidence based preventative advice. I enjoy cosmetic dentistry and I am confident in providing crowns, bridges, veneers and tooth whitening. I can also straighten teeth using the FASTBRACES and INVISALIGN orthodontic systems. . I am a keen learner and I frequently attend courses for my continuing professional development. I am considering studying for the Diploma in Restorative Dentistry at the Royal College of Surgeons in London if I can find the time! I also work for the British Dental Association and I assess dental practices who are members of their Good Practice Scheme. I am married to Vicky and we have three boys, Jake, Leo and Albie. If I have any spare time I enjoy gardening and training at the gym. I play bass guitar, acoustic guitar, drums and piano and I also occasionally sing in a band. I work Tuesday to Friday and I provide a late evening session on a Wednesday and a Thursday evening.

He is very thorough, explains what is going on and why he is doing something and the work completed is always the highest standard and as comfortable as dental work can be. You are made to feel valued as a person and not just a customer, a fantastic dentist to deal with and highly recommended
	92%	Having not been to the Dentist for 3 years following two, what can only be described as horrendous dental experiences, a broken tooth finally left me with no choice. To anyone having a filling for the first time or anxious about dental surgery, I would highly recommend Hob Hey Dental Centre. They all spoke to me and carried out my treatment with the utmost compassion. I was made to feel like it was both normal, and perfectly fine to be so anxious. During my treatment, their first priority was to ensure I was as comfortable as I could be, and throughout reassured me I was in safe hands. Thank you so much John, Lucy and Julie.

	100%	I have always been very anxious about going to the dentist however John Fleming has always been very considerate and mindful of my nervousness. He explains everything and gives me the confidence to attend regularly allowing extra time incase I need to him to stop during treatment. I have never had to as he is very thorough and gentle. Due to my health I have had to cancel some of my appointments with short notice but this has never been a problem as all the staff are very understanding. I would definitely recommend this dental practice, it is just a pity that private charges are quite expensive, however you always get exceptional service.
	100%	Nowadays it is very easy to vote with one's feet. If I am not happy with the service that someone provides, I go elsewhere. I can happily say that in all the years I have been going to Hob Hey, it has never even occurred to me to look elsewhere. Why should it?
	100%	Visiting the dentist has historically been an inconvenient experience for me; with slots that only ever coincided with my working day. Thankfully, Hob Hey takes a flexible approach and I have been able to visit early, before work and when I am there, I have never sat in their waiting room any longer than 5 minutes. With regards to John Fleming, he has always taken the time to explain what he is going to do and why he is going to do it, ensuring that there are no nasty surprises. This is a great touch and helps alleviate any anxieties. All in all, I have to say my visits are always pleasant. Also, I have a 5 and a 2 year old and both of them look forward to going to see John. This has to be the ultimate testament to John’s manner and bearing when dealing with patients. The girls on the desk are always very attentive and have their finger on the pulse and I would highly recommend Hob Hey to anyone looking for a new dentist. Well done!
	100%	I've been a patient at the Hob Hey Dental Centre for longer than I care to remember, and despite moving away from Culcheth many years ago, I wouldn't consider changing my dentist. Appointments are organised well in advance so easy to plan around, and reminders sent by email. I was unfortunate enough to need an emergency appointment between Christmas and New Year, but was seen within two hours of calling the surgery and work was done to reduce the pain, with root canal scheduled for early in the new year...which all went very smoothly. I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Dr Fleming to anyone!
	100%	Myself and my children are all patients of dr Fleming and have always received dental treatment and advice of the highest standard. The children look forward to their appointments, john recently suspected my son had a potential problem with his adult teeth and referred us to the dental hospital. Unfortunately his suspicions were correct but we have had excellent support and treatment to help us through this difficult time.
	100%	The treatment of myself and my family is always of the very highest standard. The practise is clean, friendly and incredibly professional. I couldn't recommend the practise more highly.

Mr Fleming is always very friendly and efficient so my visits are pleasant experiences.I am particularly impressed by the examination for oral cancer which I get as part of the regular 6 monthly check.
