Joined butterworths and went for my first appointment today having left work in Newcastle 2 hours early to get one of the last appointments of the day at 4.40.
Arrived literally 5 minutes late due to traffic to be greeted by a surly receptionist who phoned the dentist and held a conversation in front of me about re-arranging my appointment. Dentist had taken the next appointment in and I was informed I would have to re-arrange. I wasn't given the option to wait. I explained that I had left work 2 hours early and driven an hour through traffic to make the appointment. The strong impression I got was that the dentist wanted to leave at exactly 5pm and I could **** ** if I expected them to work 5 minutes longer than that.
Disgusted by the whole practice and their attitude to me as a customer. I wouldn't mind but my family regularly have to wait up to 25 minutes when their dentists are running late. Will be de-registering the whole family.
