About Jason Smithson

Jason Smithson qualified from the University of London in 1995, where he won the American Association of Endodontics prize, the Malcolm Jenkins Research Scholarship and the overall University (Constance Klein) prize for Clinical dentistry. Jason then spent 3 years in the Hospital Service where his main workload was the surgical correction of facial deformities and trauma to the head and neck. He was also involved in the teaching and supervision of students. Jason has a passion for Cosmetic and Reconstructive Dentistry and in particular direct resin artistry and pressed ceramics. Jason has lectured both nationally and internationally (USA and Canada) on direct resin placement and has given web based lectures on DentalTown.com and DentalEd.com.au. He is an Opinion Leader for several major companies including GC, Cosmodent, Triodent and Ivoclar Vivadent. He is past chairman of the Cornwall Independent Dental Practitioner's Group and in 2009 was awarded The Pankey Scholarship. Jason is married with two young children and a terrier called Hattie. He enjoys Indian cooking, antiques and modern British art.
