I informed Mr Spiers I had a real phobia about dentists and that I had not been for over 10 years because of this. I needed extensive dental work.
He was kind, sympathetic and absolutely none judgemental. I am a big strong man and felt a bit of a wuss telling him this - but it mattered not a jot to him.
He pre-numbed my gums with some bubble gum tasting 'bon jella' type stuff so I never felt the needle at all. He explained all that was going on all of the time.
He has gone a long way to diminishing my phobia and I am not so frightened of my next visits.
Dr Gareth Spiers deserves high praise for his manner, treatment and professional and kind attitude.
