About Barry Tiernan

Barry qualified from Trinity College, Dublin in 1977 and went on to be a partner in two large practices in Bournemouth and Dorset. Barry has worked in Bournemouth for over 25 years and has been involved in the development and running of two large practices. The practices are family orientated practices with specialities in some more advanced cosmetic procedures. It is quite common to be treating 3 to 4 generations of the one family. Barry spent 10 years on the Local Dental Committee, dealing with topical and local dental issues. Following on from this he was an advisor to the Bournemouth PCT for a period of time, dealing with the new PDS and GDS contracts. Barry also work for Dental Protection Ltd in Lond and as an Associate Dento-Legal Adviser dealing with the Medical Legal aspects in Dentistry. Outside the practice, he is a keen sportsman, cycling and sailing his preferences
