I had a few problems with this dentist
- i am quite a nervous patient and had planned to have sedation for my first filling. when i booked appoitment i explained i was due to have a general aneastetic a few days later and he agreed it was ok (i also checked this out with my consulant, a senior anetheatist, who agreed it was ok). I hardly slept the night before the filling and when i arrived we waited about 70minutes before mr north came out. he called me into the room and explained he wouldnt do it after all and wanted me to wait till after my surgery, which would mean delaying treatment by another 4-6weeks. i felt that i should have been told he was unwilling to do it so close to the surgery on the day i asked or by calling me instaed of me arriving and waiting over an hour to be let down.
-When i was 13 i asked about the possibility of having a brace, i was told he would refer me. Months later (when friends refered after me had been seen) i asked what had happened to my referal he told me he hadnt refered me as it wasnt needed and only difference would be to the apperance, i had to really push for the referal and when i saw the orthodontist he said the positionwas actually affecting my bite!!!
He really made me lose trust with dentists and it has took me a long time to regain that trust with my new dentist.
