About Amalia Liguori

Amalia has now been working with the team at the Dartford Road Dental Centre since 1998. She is a registered Specialist in Paediatric Dentistry. She encourage parents to bring their children to the practice as young as possible, even at six months old when they develop their first baby teeth. She regards children as very special and does everything to make their visits enjoyable. She is also very keen to help nervous patients overcome their past fears of the Dentist. She Qualified from University College London in 1986 and then worked in general practice and part time at Charing Cross Hospital in the Oral Surgery Department. In 1993 she went to the Eastman Dental Institute to study for a Masters in Paediatric Dentistry, followed by a year in the Children’s department. In 1996 she won the Eastman 3M Gold Medal Prize for research on Enamel Opacities. She has also worked as a Senior Dental Officer in Westminster and has been involved in Dental Undergraduate teaching at Guy’s and St Thomas’s Hospital.
