About Alix Mathewson

Alix is an excellent communicator and provides a relaxed and caring approach to contemporary dentistry. Since qualifying from Leeds in 2011 Alix has worked in practice in York and Gloucester before moving to St.James Dental – Quedgeley. Alix was awarded Membership to the Joint Dental Faculties in 2013 (MJDF RCS Eng) and is planning to pursue an interest in Paediatric Dentistry. Alix now particularly enjoys treating young adults and children where her natural calming manner helps patients of all ages through their time at St. James Dental. Alix’s gentle approach allows anxious patients and children to overcome their fears of dentistry and complete their treatment with confidence. Alix also has a passion for facial aesthetics and in combination with her dental training offers a unique approach to Botox, Facial fillers and Dermaroller skin rejuvenation. These techniques allow Alix to manage all of your cosmetic concerns such as resolving acne scarring, preventing the development of future wrinkles or turning back the clock with facial fillers. Alix enjoys visiting local schools, clubs and groups to help educate and discuss any aspect of dental care. Alix lives locally with her husband and their wired haired Vizla – Penny. Alix is a keen Crossfit athlete and enjoys the community spirit shown within the sport.
